We are the Henderson family of Butte, Montana. Avid hikers and tech-savvy artists, we stumbled upon the idea for Montana See Glass while hiking with our energetic children (ages 7 and 4). Inspired by our kid's suggestion to clean up the trail, we experimented with tumbling the found broken glass, leading to the creation of the art pieces that evolved into what you see on the site today. Encouraged by positive feedback from a fundraiser, we established Montana See Glass as a project to combine trail cleanup, art creation and teaching our kids about business and the payoffs of hard work.
Today marks the end of the first week since our online store went live. Over the last few months, we have worked with some fabulous local partners, listed on our front page, that will remain a priority for product. We are so grateful for their support and partnership as we get our idea off of the ground. This last week has been a wonderful learning experience. Who knew that shipping is so expensive? We also strived to answer the important question: How many wraps of bubble wrap will ensure our piece arrives safely 2500 miles away? Current recycled bubbled wrap count: 12! We learned a lot this week and can't wait to see the response of our new batch of art that will be posted tomorrow. Thank you for all of the love and support!
